Peter, he means that it is an Uzit, not a Lenox.
But it does need to be soaked.

Welcome to the board !!

Great story as well, thanks. And, nice cards (love the Uzit). I say keep the collection & learn as much as you can about the cards, you will probably soon find the passion that your Grandfather had for them- and then there is no turning back

But, if for some reason the bug doesn't bite you, you can always sell on the BST, an auction house, or ebay.

Thanks again-

Sincerely, Clayton

Yeah, I agree completely. I have seen it so many times I can recite just about all of the dialogue. When it comes on it's almost like visiting with old friends...

Love The Quiet Man, it is my all-time favorite. Twenty plus years ago when we found out we were having a daughter we wanted a good, solid Irish name so we naturally picked Mary Kate for Maureen O'Hara's Mary Kate Danniher!

You have to love Victor McLaglen in the film. He once fought a six round exhibition against Jack Johnson right after Johnson won the heavyweight crown!

There is a great PC of McLaglen and Johnson just before their bout. Don't have it...maybe some day. Here is my favorite McLaglen card

as long as we're talking John Wayne and The Quiet Man...
