Default 1992 pro set autographs?

Hi, in 1992 you remember that they had autographs in packs. I can’t seem to find any info on the set a checklist or the odds. I remember pulling a John Mackey auto. If anyone has any info on the subject please let me know.

I don't recall seeing a checklist even then. As far as I can recall - and for that set I may be mistaken- supposedly all the cards could be found autographed. Some were very tough though, and to get a good idea you might have to read through a couple years of old hobby publications.

Are you asking about Pro Set or Pro Line? Pro Line had a bunch of autos. I know 1992 Pro Set had an Erik Kramer auto /1000 but I don't know if there were any others.

Pro Line had the entire set with signatures. Some were more limited than others. Some were autopenned (Jack Kemp is one). The only one I ever got from a pack was a Kemp. I love comedy so I collect some of the fan cards they did:

Muhammad Ali signed a bunch of them, some as Cassius Clay.

I know of pro line autos I also wouldn’t mind picking up a few. I mean 1992 pro set https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F232639741720

This is like the card I had but I think I got one even sloppier and it had marker on the back. I traded it for a box of 1996 pinnacle baseball I believe.

1992 Pro Set - [Base] #651 - Jerry Rice [PSA/DNA*Certified*Encased]

This one being numbered to 980 makes it realistic for being pack pulled. Someone doing a buyback auto wouldn't make nearly that many.

Edit: Noticed the PSA slab says 1999, so maybe it was a buyback auto. Card is dated 1992 though.
