Default Do you ever dream about baseball cards?

Last night, I had a dream about someone who was showing me a stick of butter where the wrapper around said butter had a baseball player on it. He said he had the stick of butter since 1972, always refrigerated.

I've had other dreams about cards, like chasing scarce issues, etc. but the butter thing was the weirdest.

Do baseball cards ever make an appearance in your dreams?

Yep, helping clear out a friend's attic or stumbling along a ghost town with a candy or tobacco shop full of old stuff.

No. Not generally, but there are exceptions:

Yes I have! I have had dreams where I am opening a modern day pack of cards and every single card is an amazing 1 of 1. It's a dream of finding the dream pack. Still waiting on my first vintage related dream though...

I had a dream that was like a Twilight Zone episode.

As an adult, I went back in time to 1970 to a small town in Kansas.

There I found my drug store Duckwalls, and grocery store Dyers IGA, and bought baseballs cards from the early 1970's to my hearts content.

Wonderful childhood memory that seems to fade each year....at least I had my dream.

In my dream I bought my dream car, a 1955 Chevy. I bought it for cheap, and as-is. It was in nice shape and when I opened the trunk I found a large cardboard box containing about 3000 Zeenuts. And of course my #1 Wlil Never Own It Card was in there - Jimmy Claxton.

I've had a dream a few times that it's 1952, I'm a kid maybe 10-12, and I'm at a Yankees game. This was long before I was born, but it's a dream, so whatever. Anyway I'm able to get over to a railing and call over Mickey Mantle to sign a card I've got, a 1959 Topps. He takes a look and says "I can't sign cards from the future", and as I realize it's not possible, I wake up. I've had that one at least 2 or 3 times.

Default I have trashy dreams

I have dreamed of cards, but considering how much my conscious mind thinks about the darned things I am surprised that it is not a nightly occurrence. Perhaps my conscious mind works out all those knotty vintage issues that it needs to so my subconscious mind doesn't feel the need to waste precious dreamscape time.

I have had one cool dream a couple of times where I found a small hoard of prewar cards just sitting on top of a trash can in the nearby neighborhood. These cards of course were not mint and looked like they came from a trash can, but then again, nothing out of place from my real life card collection.

Yep, I’ve had several dreams where I stumble across a gold mine of cards I collect. For some reason I’ll wake up expecting all the cards to be on my desk

I might be dreaming, but it sure seems like I posted on that thread too. Perhaps all my Net54 posts are constructed while I'm three sheets to the wind, that is if the three sheets are considered the layers of bed covering, and the wind the bedroom ceiling fan.

Default Don't recall dreaming, but....

Many nights having trouble falling asleep instead of counting sheep I would carefully form a clear image in my minds eye of each Topps Roberto Clemente card starting with his rookie - I don't think I ever made it to 1973 - before my alarm woke me the next morning!

Not a dream, but I did tell my wife last night I was looking at porn on my laptop while we were watching TV. When she got up, I told her to come look at at how sexy it was.... And showed her Heritage's Auction, starting with a 1915 Babe Ruth that was at $320,000 at that time. Showed her several cards including some 1948 Leaf's and then the six 1952 Topps Mantles. She rolled her eyes and said "whatever floats your boat baby".

Normal or Abnormal??

I just get the head shake from mine. And then the "how much was it or how much are you going to spend?" The question is asked in a semi interested but beaten down tone. We just had our 23rd anniversary.
