Here's the back of the Kelly postcard. I have done a little research and can't find anything about that card turned into a postcard.

Maybe it's a Four Base Hits card. Why do you think it's a postcard? Could be a fantasy card as well.

If real it is worth a small fortune. It isn't a postcard and is a N690 baseball card. My suspicion is it isn't real due to the way the back looks. There are 2 currently known.

It is the size of a post card. I tried to identify it but couldn't find anything currently listed anywhere.

Then it is a reprint. It should be about 2 1/4 x 3 7/8 inches. Here is some info....

Not a RPPC. It it's a Lawrence Semon postcard of Ty Cobb. We hardly see this series come up for sale.

Nothing earth-shattering, but someone wrote on the back of this Cal., Newport. I like to think it is from Newport Beach, but no way to prove anything. I think the one player's uniform says E. McGuire on it, probably a company team. Not much to go on for figuring out who the two dudes were, but a cool image and not much of a hit on the pocketbook. You don't see a whole bunch of early Southern California baseball stuff, if this is from Newport Beach.

Erick, love the Paige as I should have jumped on that. I think it's from his rookie year and with an auto! How can you go wrong. Those two 1922 Unc cards aren't bad either 😉

I always thought it was interesting that Satchel Paige autographed with two “Ls” (i.e., “Satchell”) early in his career and changed over to one ”L” (i.e., “Satchel”) later. Looks like yours has two “Ls”.

I picked this up recently, and have been wracking my brain trying to figure out what team this is. I hate going to you guys to figure things out, but after much searching I still can't figure this out. So many of the players look like someone I should know, but I just can't find a "for sure" answer. In the memorabilia forum, I had one response that the guy in the back row left looked like Frank Doyle, but the uniforms to me do not look like Roanoke. Also, what are the items the two players with the dogs have that are resting on their legs and under their arms? Any thoughts? Any help is much appreciated.

Am not getting a glimmer of recognition from any of the faces. Cool postcard nonetheless. My guess, and it's only a guess, is that the mystery items are gun sleeves. The guy in the center looks like he could bench press Scott Brockelman.

I could see them being gun sleeves, with the dogs they have, but why display the sleeves but no guns? I have never seen Scott, but that dude is stout. I would not go in on him with my spikes up.

This is from LOTG, it was listed as a "San Bernardino" player. I've not found any uniforms to compare, but the only semi-pro team from that era was the 1913 San Bernardino Kittens. However, my guess, based on the "SB" surrounded by a large "S" on uniform, and the Star on the hat, is that if this is a San Bernardino team, they would be called the "Stars," or something like that. I've read that baseball was being played in San Bernardino since 1899 when San Bernardino was in the Southern California League, so who knows. Heck, I just recently found out that Walter Johnson started pitching here in Orange County when he was a teen. For so small an amount of memorabilia, Southern California was way more into baseball than I knew.

Edited to add: This is definitely not the Kittens, once I decided to use my head, I did some really slick detective work. I read what is printed on the back of the card. The date, Feb. 22, 1910. Brilliant work on my part.

Been awhile since I got t post in this thread, a really long while...feels good. I also get to be the first post of new year? What could be better...

I got my first card today of 2018 and the second time I have owned this exact example which was difficult to replace. I HAD to trade it for something else and it found its way back to me and showed up today. 1907 FP Burke Detroit PC, one of Cobb's earlier images and I love the emblem in the background. It comes in both black and blue and I far prefer the tough black variation. Also, its unused with just a simple corner crease as it returns in to my top 10 favorite cards.

Also, I let Orly know you didn't want anything to do with postcards and that you don't even want to see a Cobb Pc if one becomes available...heh.

The clowns are cool (except to my daughter, she hates clowns) and a 1913 RPPC of some babes

I picked this postcard up awhile back. It's a 1908 Krieg & Halton team postcard. This was a semi-pro team that was based in Alameda, CA. What makes it pretty cool is it was sent by team owner Joe Krieg's wife Agnes.

Default Let's see some postcards

Burke/Brace era postcards I’ve collected over the years. Never could value them if anyone can point me where to look I’d appreciate it.

Those were made by Jim Rowe in the 1970-80s using Burke/Brace negatives. They do not have much value. A couple bucks each.

Really? Thanks I never knew this. Based on the paper feel and texture of photos I assumed late 50’s early 60’s
