Default Heinie Groh Zinn Beck Bat Question

I recently came across a Heinie Groh Model, Zinn Beck Bat. It is 32 1/2" long and weighs 42 oz. I am not that familiar with Zinn Beck center brands and was wondering if there was any chance of this bat being a gamer? Any information or thoughts would be appreciated.

I am not an expert, but I will get the ball rolling by saying that as far I know that looks like a pro model bat. It is my impression that pro bats have the player's name plus the word "model" on the barrel. If the knob seems to have been hand turned, that helps, too.

I would agree with Mark that this bat is in all likelihood a pro model.

Here are photos of a Heinie Groh Zinn-Beck bat that I used to own.

As shown in the last photo of the knob there are no factory markings. The bat owned by the original poster should be fairly similar I would think.

I'm not sure why it is thought to be a pro model. From the attached brochure, doesn't it seem more likely to be a store model?

Default Groh

The first bat would have been made for Groh to use. The second bat was "type" of bat used by Groh, for store sales. At least from the info I have seen.

Here's Heinie Groh pictured with Rogers Hornsby. Groh is holding what appears to be a Zinn-Beck bat (diamond shaped center lable) with the "TYPE OF BAT USED BY GROH" lettering visible.
