Default Quick Opinion from you guys.

A reporter here in Tennessee is working on a story about Tommy Bridges and contacted me a few weeks ago about using some of the press photos and type 1's I own in the article. I emailed him sharp scans of what he requested and just today I got an email thanking me for the scans. He also wanted to know if I would like to be mentioned in the article (I.E. Photo's Courtesy of Steven Finley.)

I think that would be cool, but before I say yes I am worried that I might be taking undue credit. It is not like I took the pictures and all. I only provided them.

What are your opinions?

"Photos courtesy of..." suggests you lent the photos to the author for his article. Nobody would think you were the photographer.

Thanks guys. I'd hope that no one would assume that I took the pictures. Even if I were young at the time I'd still be pushing 100. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't over stepping some media rights.

Most people just steal my stuff off the internet. Guilty parties include the city of Lincoln and the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper....oh and some guy on facebook too.

Photos from the collection of Steven Finley.

That would avoid any proprietary claim other than that you own a copy of that photograph. I'd suggest slightly altering what he'd proposed.

Take credit where it is due. It may even open up some opportunities for you.
