Thanks and I would have to agree that I was happy with the price. It was the lowest sale I could find...5 notches below my max and I have been the underbidder on 3 other over the 6 years or so.

Brad - WHAT AN AMAZING PIECE! That thing is a beauty, was that a private deal? If you ever get bored of that PLEASE let me know.

Man, you guys are a tough crowd to follow this month.

This showed up today. Been wanting a DiMaggio piece for a while. The $15 off $75 ebay coupon really motivated me.

Picked up he last two D311s I needed, thanks Brian M. Having put the set together card by card I can honestly say these were the two toughest to find. Several years of looking, now the set can be put to bed.

Thanks guys! It's a great piece, hard to find both Anson & Kelly together. It was one of those I tossed out a bid that I didn't think had a chance to win and I won. lol.

So wasn't on a list of anything I was really looking for at the time but thought it was amazing so gave it a shot. I like how it can be tied to the Harpers Weekly woodcut as well.

This 1931 Blum's Bulletin is complete, but it's too large for my scanner:

Default Third Party Grading Error Bookends :

...they got the grades right but that's the ONLY thing they got right....now if I can just find another one in a BGS holder I'll have hit the trifecta ...

..( for the members who are not all that familiar with the 3 x 5-ish black and white premiums/photocards of the thirties , this "Joe (not "Ducky"; JOE !!) Medwick" is actually a 1934 Wheaties premium from Gold Medal Foods; R313A in the book.

..

Congrats Brad, great cabinet. I assume you know the story behind the "Anson in Uniform" N172 (the most valuable 19th century card having been created from this cabinet).

I third that...such a cool, elusive set. I like it almost as much as its big B/W D310 brother. Congrats TBob!
