Campy & a few other rare cards - Authentic?
What are your thoughts on the authenticity of these cards?

Yes these are 1953 Archives, just curious if the autographs look authentic? |

No, he passed away in 1993 and the set came out in 1991. At this point he was using a machine assisted signature

I would want it authenticated and even then I wouldn't know it was him unless I was standing in front of him watching it but at least authenticated, you might be able to resell it. I've seen Campy L.S. Bats autographed and it looks somewhat similar to those autos but that would be a HUGE crap shoot. As for the other two, there were TONS of these sent through the mail for autos and I don't see anyone faking those autos as they should sell for $3-$5 on ebay typically.............

I did a PSA Quick Opinion...Campy "likely not genuine", other 2 were "likely genuine".
While Hoffman and Main were good signers, they died shortly after this set was released making them pretty rare finds on this card. |
