Default LI national show #4 in site gradingwhich is bestSCG or GAI

Posted By: mike

April 8 and 9th the LI national will be held at HOFSTRA U
on long island SCG and GAI will be there I have a opportunity toi have some cards graded. I'm a collector not a sellER
I'm looking for long term quality with the grading system.
Many poster on ths site say that SCG is the toughest.
I also belive that PSA is where the money is probably because the big time Dealers are in cahotts with them meaning Playing games with grading. My opinion comes from reading all the responses from this thread. I'm sure people would beg to differ. BUT I HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT IN THE LONG RUN THAT SCG WITH BE THE CREAM THAT RISES TO THE TOP. PSA IN THE FUTURE BE BE FRAUGHT WITH SCANDle
IT'S BOUND TO HAPPENS. Skecthy operations cannot last forever.

If you were new to graging not collecting and have
quality 40's and 50's brooklyn dodgers player, What would be the best companies to use at this show. Both guarantee
same day grading for a very reasonable price I believe SCG
also provides pregrading which they tell you the grade and if you decide to have it put in a slab you pay otherwise you don't.

Any honest responses would be greatingly appreciated
mike

I go to that show and I have been very pleased with SGC and their on site grading service. They are fast, fair and pleasure to deal with. There is good (limited) prewar material at that show. I picked up some cool ice cream and regional issues last year.

Ditto the above.. This is the best show on Long Island. And it is second best in the area to Westchester, which is coming up soon...Pcelli60

There are probably around 500,000 pre war cards that are in fit for grading left in the hobby...5 years worth of grading?

what will SGC grade after that?

Sgc will grade psa/gai holstered cards. That's where my psa/gai cards go to get those nice holders.
