Default This part of eBay bothers me the most

WHY are there so many reprints listed and why do people actually spend money on this stuff ? $70 and there's a bid !!!!!!!!

I do have to say that the cards do look very cool and from a distance, someone would think its the real thing. If it was a buy it now for $20, I probably would buy them just for fun.

Hey c'mon now, they are both graded by the highly respected SCE (Sport Card Experts) and don't those cases look beautiful!

As P.T. Barnum would say......well you know what he said.....

Peace, Mike

I've never heard of SCE though I know your response was sarcastic. So I presume neither have you !

SCE is someone's back room invention and I'd be surprised if you ever see an SCE holder with an authentic card inside.

Crazy stuff!

Peace, Mike

His listing says "reproduction" in the title AND the body. He is not trying to deceive. He is just playing on people's lack of paying attention and/or greed.

The bidder bid on this listing. Shame on him............

I think that the person who bid on it knows they're reprints I just for the life of me can't figure out why you'd burn $70 on fake cards. And it bothers me seeing all the reprints on eBay period. Maybe it's a vent session arrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

The seller also described the cards as "very convincing."

I don't have a problem with sellers listing cards as reprints. I have a problem with the ol' "found it in great-great auntie Sue's possessions. Looks old, doesn't say reprint on it. Several local experts have told me it's authentic. Judge for yourself from these fuzzy cell phone pics. No refunds."

If it didn't have "reproduction" in the title I would somewhat fault the seller. Not on this one though, plain as day. Where is that bidder when I sell stuff?

Meaning he is trying to be convincing in that there is hope when there clearly isn't.

And don't leave out the Broadleaf Wagner in another auction or this gem that might surpass the previous reprint!!

Default reprints

Would love to just once look on ebay for Honus Wagner cards or 1914/1915 CJ cards with no reprints coming up. I could look at them in about 1/4 the time! Some must be getting sold because they keep listing them.
What in the heck would anyone do with 5000 reprint T206 Wagners?

Not sure where the Profit comes in? I would think the market is rather weak, but I could be wrong
