I don't need to...I read them as they are at top..

fairly often....maybe 3-5x a week.....for various reasons

I scroll down the page only for interesting topics that I may have missed when not online,otherwise dont even usually open them up.

Not very often.

Probably about the same...4 or 5 times a week.

A: Daily but once it gets to 15 posts or so I'll click to bottom of page and scroll up if necessary.

A: If a prior thread has no new posts as indicated by blue turning to red on my computer I have no need to scroll down any further, If it's red, it's been read.

Rarely do I read them all if the thread is long; if its less then 5 posts I probably do or at least glance at them all.

If I remember a thread that I want to see if there was an update too; and I've been off for a few days and haven't looked. Probably 2x a month.

Almost never - did just once a year or so.

More often then searching past pages that is for sure; I tend to do searches for terms like broadleaf or lenox if I'm looking for backs discussions or something like that (perhaps a set).

I don't read every thread, but the ones I do, I usually read the whoel thing

I don't scroll down too far as I am usually up to date within any given day

I very rarely scan past pages...maybe 1-2 times per month

Zinn- if you look at the bottom of the page you will see numbers and those are the previous pages....we have thousands of them. I rarely go back and look at them.

This was an impromptu informal poll. In order to do a formal one I have to bug Brian M to set it up....This was just easier....plus this way we can see who says what.....In the formal polls it only takes answers and we wouldn't know "who" responded. Mainly I did it this way because it was fast and easy....that's kind of my motto "fast and easy"....

---- maybe 20 times a week. Typical searches consist of:

1) cards/sets I collect or am considering collecting

2) trying to ascertain the meaning of reoccurring inside jokes/comments

3) If I'm considering conducting a significant purchase or sale on the BST with anyone whose name or reputation I don't know, I'll run a search on the main board to see if that individual has ever been called out for shenanigans

edited to add: all the deals I've conducted on the BST have been smooth as silk. That says alot about this board and the individuals who frequent it

1. I read very very few threads but the ones I am interested in I read every post.

2. I check the threads to see if they interest me--may open 5% of them--perhaps less.

3)Almost never

1) If I open a thread I am interested in, I usually read most (or all) of the posts in that thread. If the post is unwieldingly long, I sometimes go to the bottom and read a few at the bottom to catch up.

2) I will not scroll down more than a day's worth.

3) Almost never.

4) With some frequency -- to find the answer to something I read at some point, to see what I had previously written or to challenge the consistency of certain posters.

When I click on a thread I usually begin by reading the first message and then deciding if I'll scroll down through -Didn't even know bottom of page like existed honestly.

Seldom, maybe once every couple of months. I find the "Search" feature ineffective at best. I suspect that I'm inept to some extent. Seems to me that Net54 could make the search options better. But I doubt that they will.

I'd like to thank Leon for making me feel like a moron today. I read the board everyday at least 3 times a day since the first day the board was put up(I have the distinction of the 3rd post ever on the board after Elliot and Leon)and I've never used to top or bottom of page feature and really never noticed it,in fact when I read the first question I thought to myself,what the heck is that? I can scroll with the best of them though thanks to my ignorance.

I READ THE POSTS WHERE THE SUBJECT LINE INTERESTS ME. I WILL SOMETIMES CHECK A THREAD IF THE SUBJECT DOESN'T INTEREST ME BUT THERE ARE A LARGE AMOUNT OF POSTS. IN A LOT OF CASES I'VE FOUND THOSE THREADS NOT SO FUN TO READ BECAUSE THOSE ARE CONTROVERSIAL THREADS WHERE PEOPLE SEEM TO GO OFF ON EACH OTHER.

I SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE A LOT TO SEE IF A SUBJECT THAT MIGHT INTEREST ME HAS SLIPPED DOWN.

EVERY SO OFTEN I'LL TRY TO FIND SOMETHING FROM THE PAST BUT NOT TOO OFTEN BECAUSE THE SEARCH FUNCTION IS RATHER POOR.

I USUALLY AVOID THIS FEATURE BECAUSE IT REPEATS TOO MANY POSTS. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE THE SEARCH FEATURE WOULD ALLOW THE USER TO ONLY SEARCH THROUGH THE SUBJECT LINES AS WELL AS ALL TEXT. HOPEFULLY, THIS WOULD ALLOW THE USER TO FIND THE SUBJECTS THEY ARE LOOKING FOR.
