Default Super Print survey....Evers (Chicago-bat)

Posted By: Pennsylvania Ted

This Evers card happens to be the 5th T206 card in the current surveys of the Six Super Prints.

The prior 4 "Net54 surveys" of Chance (yellow)....Chase (blue)....Cobb (red)....Matty (dark cap)
happen to be, coincidentally, 350/460 Series cards that have aptly been coined by Scot Reader
as "Super Prints".

Here are my cards of this Evers....

Default Super Print survey....Evers (Chicago-bat)

No coincidence on the Chase and Matty surveys being super-prints -- my theory on the most commonly owned pre-war card by a Net54 is based on the popularity of T206 as well as Scot Reader's assessment of the 6 Super Prints.

I happen to love this card, but I think there'll be more Matty dark cap and Chase Blue portraits. People love Matty more than Evers; and Chase's blue portrait is so available that it is hardly more expensive than a common -- that is, you can get a star name for a common price.

I'm sure this has been written somewhere else but it's apt to note here all six super prints are redrawn subjects that had been issued previously. Maybe it's just me but the redrawn cards look a bit nicer in each instance.
