Default One more Type 1 of Jackie?

Here's one more that I have. This one does not have an ink stamp on the back of the picture, just the paper description. Type 1?

I'd say 98% certain that it's a TYPE I. The stamp may be hiding under the affixed slug. Hold the photo up to a bright light and you will see a stamp if there is one. Otherwise, I'd have to have it in my hands to be completely sure.

Regards, Jimmy

as i'm just getting into photos myself...how does one tell if a photo is a "wire/press photo" vs. first generation printed from the negative? alot of these photos were wired to other news agencies, hence not printed from the negative, therefore not type 1...a little history lesson would be greatly appreciated.

thx!!

I've been reading Henry's book for over four years now. It's a permanent fixture in my reading room (the John). It's one of those books that you sit down with a batch of your photos and research every aspect of your photo. You'd be surprised how much fun that can be!

Sad, ain't it, Graig?

I'm hooked as well...

The research is the best part. No need to go to the library.

Henry's book is the library.
