Default Baseball Board Games

Posted By: John H.

Just wondering if anyone else plays statistic based baseball games like APBA, Strat-O-Matic, Replay, Statis Pro, Sports Illustrated, Negamco, Big League Manager, Challenge the Yankees, etc. I have dozens of these types of games and even more season card sets to go with them.

Right now I would love to find a copy of the Hank Bauer Be A Manager game by BAMCO, which was made from 1967 (1966 season cards) to approximately 1970, but I'm always on the lookout for games and/or season card sets to add to my collection. If any of you happen to be looking for something maybe I'll have it and we could work out a sale or trade.

Thanks.

John

Hi John

I used to buy SOM every year and APBA a few years. I know I have a few doubles of SOM but not sure of the years 1974? 1978 (reasonably certain on that one) and perhaps some others. Quite a few football doubles from the early 70s. Let me know what years you want.

I am not looking to sell, but will always trade for baseball books, PCL or Western Canada cards or ephmera.

Max

As a kid, I played a little Strat-O-Matic and a ton of Challenge the Yankees. Strat-O is long gone, but Challenge is still in the closet, cards in toploaders, box in a plastic bag. (It is in very used condition.)

Max, I'm in Winnipeg. Unfortunately I don't have any Western Canada Baseball material. I do have a ton of books, though. What's on your want list?

I would mostly be interested in pre-1976 Baseball sets or 1960's and 70's Strat Football sets. Let me know what you have.

Thanks.

John
