Wow

Interesting that his pitching hand is either airbrushed (to add the index finger) or gloved (looks a little darker than his other hand). No doubt as not to offend the tender sensibilities of the "mild mannered" 1910 baseball fan/smoker.

PC-it would appear the hand was airbrushed to add the missing digits. It's really a remarkable bit of work, very funny stuff.

I'm beginning to dig back into the PCL market a little bit. Here's a real tough e99 Maggert and a very nice group of d311s that Tony A. was nice enough to trade me.

Brian-

I love the look of that e99, and great jump on those d311's with that lot...

Now you know that that e99 Maggert has been on my wantlist for years, you dog.

Congrats, maybe I can fill in some of the d311's in trade.

Great stuff Steve.

As soon as i saw Brian's E99 Maggert, you're the first person that i thought of.

Had to figure that one would be on your wantlist.

Thanks Quan -
Barry could probably confirm for sure, but I believe it does originate from Hal's collection.

Yes, there's no beating this one...and she will rule the house, no doubt. Her brothers will meet her when they get home from school today.

DaveF, sadly, you are so right about the most costly pickup of the new year, decade, etc...

Leon, thanks for permitting the OT post today!

I'm staring at that Mack trying to figure out why it got a 10. It looks like a 40. Is it those two little nicks at the left edge? Boy, those SGC graders are merciless.

DR,
Nice Mack! There must be an enormous problem with than card that did not come through on the scan. Otherwise it is grossly misgraded. I just do not think a card that looks like that deserves the lowest grade on the grading scale. Something is wrong here.

DR,
Awesome Mack, is that a partial tear near Mack's right elbow? if so, maybe thats why such a low grade? either way its a gorgeous card,
-Dan

looks like there are two tears on the left side (more easily seen on the back / right side).
Almost as if that little section can be lifted up like a tab.

Technical grade looks correct.

But I agree with everyone else - it is a beauty!

The Mack has very minor tears at the elbow and near the shoulder. Technically, the card is graded correctly but it would not look out of place in a 20. Either way, I love the card! This was an unexpected gift and stoked it is in my collection to remind me of a great experience and friend! Thanks again Tim and best to you and yours.
