Default Evidence of trimming?

Sorry for outing an auction, but can someone please explain this photo (/scan)?

Poor cropping on back scan. The AB card looks okay. Cannot comment on the second card in the back scan.

During the holidays I suppose it is proper to sell your cards with all the trimmings though.

I know AB's are smaller but with the way it was scanned, it looks like it was freshly sliced. The little sliver looks like it would fit nicely on that card. I don't think it will help the sellers final price.

The slice of card on the right of the front scan does look strange.

Default I am not adverse to a little tape up job

Hopefully the seller will be auctioning that slice separately, as I have a few trimmed cards that could use a little add-on help.

The seller does say the card is EX-MT. The card must be EX and the slice MT. Or is it the other way around?
