Default 1935 Rice-Stix Dizzy Dean

Posted By: Brendan

Hi all, first time poster, long time lurker.

Question for you vintage experts: I have the opportunity to pick up a nice 1935 Rice-stix Dizzy Dean for $1070. It looks like a 6, maybe a slider 7. Current population report shows two 8's, two 5's, three 3-4's and one 1-2, so this one should be 3rd highest. I really dont know what the market is for this card, havent been able to find any recent auction prices for a nice example. Do you think $1070 is a fair price?

Hey Brendan,

Stix are pretty tough to come by, I lucked into one by trade (although I gave up something equally as nice). $1,070 seems steep to me, but if you're condition consious, maybe that does it for ya. Ebay probably sees about 5-10 Rice Stix a year, varying in condition. And the prices keep going up..

E.
