best part is no description. But, then again, I guess it's self-explanatory...

I'm guessing it's a brothel token. You purchased it at the door and it entitled you to pick out the lady of your choice.

It's not unusual to find large cents where the "One Cent" on the reverse was reengraved to read "One C-nt", with a "u" in place of the "e". Those were used exclusively in brothels. You can find them being sold on ebay pretty regularly.

I'm not entirely sure that these tokens are still legal tender at modern day brothels, but after my next visit I will report back to you.

What is the best ebay search to use Barry ? 😊 Does PSA slab them, and does PWCC have any high sticker for them ?

Well you can't actually search them, because a seller can't put C*NT in the title. I used to look at large cents all day, so sooner or later I would come upon them. Most are dated in the 1840's and 50's (and I'm assuming that was a serious question, the rest of your post was in jest)

Assuming your question was serious Al, the ebay search is "brothel token large cent."

Back then they had 1/2 cent coins so a penny was still a lot of money.
Authenticating at a TPG could be fun.
