Default 1935 Quaker Oats Babe Ruth Scorer Fob (color variations)

Hi,
I saw this RED celluloid version on eBay a while back (its not mine). But I do have a few of the normal color ones.
I had never seen the RED one before.
The strange thing is even the back and dials are an odd reddish-orange color too. Would Heat or Chemicals do this to the celluloid????

Do any of you have a RED one, or seen any besides the one on eBay about a month ago?
I was just trying to gauge how rare the RED one is??

(PS the players uniform color on the back will vary from a pink to a dark red color on the normal ones too)

I have seen celluloid become discolored from heat and direct sunlight but not to that extent and usually accompanied by some blistering or other damage.

Poor photography can add to the color. Long exposure with a wide open aperture makes everything yellow or reddish. Could be a digital camera trying to compensate for low light with the flash disabled to avoid glare.

I thought that too at first, but the rivets are silver and the glare is the correct color.

I hadn't noticed the rivets. Bad photography is out for sure.

I'm trying to recall what damages celluloid like that. I've seen a couple browned pieces of celluloid, but only 2-3 and I can't remember what did it to them. Maybe it really is brown, the rivets are nice and clean.
