Default 1913 Spalding Uniforms

picked up this 32-page catalog a few years back...am curious as to what years these were issued ( besides 1913 ), and whether these turn up with any frequency...the SPALDING measuring tape ( shown in first scan ) was folded and found in between two of the pages.

thanks in advance for any info.

That's a really beautiful catalog. I've seen others before, and I think even one from the 19th century, but they are pretty scarce. I do like that tape measure- could it be unique?- and it's interesting that two years after the Spalding book was published (1911), they still had copies for sale.

I only see one about once a year, the last was from the 1920s and it was really nice. They are more rare then catalogs and the tape adds some great history and display. The years I have see have been between 1890s-1940s and for some reason they seem to disappear after that, so they are a very unique item. My guess to why they stopped making them was that in the 1950s industry was on the rise and many manufacturers would visit the stores that carried the product so there was really no need for them any more. Everything changed after World War II and more salesman jobs were available so sporting goods companies focused on their customers bringing samples to them. Great item!
