I learned my over the top curve by watching Freddie Garcia on television. I have enough sense to know that any curve I toss needs all the help it can get (gravity).

Damn, my 10 year old son has been throwing a wicked curve ball in Little League now for the past year. I guess he learned the wrong way!!!

Rob, get your kid to quit throwing that curve. There have been serveral studies done that show that throwing a curve at young age actually harms them and will ensure that they will never have a big league career. Look into it if your kid has asperations of being a big leaguer.

I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Weird, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.

Actually, my son throws from three quarters and he has worked with a pitching coach who has taught him how to grip the ball and finish his follow through so that he doesn't snap his wrist nor have his elbow turn or hit his side in the follow through. It gives an awesome break to the ball without disturbing his natural throwing motion. I wish I could have thrown it like that when I was a kid because I did hurt my elbow at 12 throwing curveballs.
