I was thinking of bidding on this one, depending on how high the lot of BF2's goes.

As far as origins, it's just a guess, but those may possibly be a test issue by the producer of BF3's. BF3's were even more primitive than BF2 - some of the player pennants just have a player's name while other have a player's name and a generic drawing of a player. Given that, including a real picture is the next logical step for them.

Leon,
Perhaps you should stick to type collecting, cause comedy ain't your bag!

Your pal,
Nick

Seeing these brought back a childhood memory. My father had a whole slew of baseball team banners when I was a kid that he must have had since he was a kid in the late 40's or 50's. I remember there being a big box of them.

Well, since my father died about 3 years ago, and I have no memory of these while going through his stuff, I guess they went away somewhere long ago. Damn shame - wonder what they were and what they'd be worth today, if anything?

Sigh...

I don't know what they are, but would be interested in one. Any serious bidders that would part with one out there? Maybe a group of type collectors? Hate to get in a bidding war if people are just looking for a sample...

I know I would like one and wouldn't mind breaking up the lot - Feller would be my first preference, but even one of the non-HOFers would be fine.
