Default Two Mike Tyson Movies in the works

The first one, which will begin shooting this fall, is titled "Cornerman" and will star Bruce Willis. It will be based on the life of legendary boxing trainer Cus D'Amato. The other untitled project will star Jamie Foxx (who will play Mike Tyson). This film is in the "pre-production" stage at the moment.

I wonder what will happen to the 86' Panini Tyson Rookie after these movies are released? Usually when Hollywood begins making movies on any athlete, superhero, etc., interest always goes up. We all know what happened to Pele's cards, especially his rookies, after "Birth of a Legend" came out. Another example would be "Hands of Stone." Nobody used to give a sh*t about the 73' Panini Roberto Duran Rookie, and now it has become a pretty popular card.

Your thoughts?

I don't think you can really shine more light on Mike. He is well known to everyone.

For those that just missed him he was imbedded in their thoughts with his movies. For the 17 and up crowd his cartoon show is completely hilarious. His one man show sold out across the country just a couple years ago.

It may put him back into the thoughts of the much older crowd that avoided his more current work but I think Mike has more than done a good job of staying relevant.

Duran was easily forgotten after his run by many and the younger crowd had no reason to know him without research
