Brian- not a Hennigan's man myself, but when Kramer drank it he spotted the dreaded "Red Dot".

Jim,

I jumped all over you in a non-personal way because I disagreed with the process and forum you were using. You made it personal not me. Further, I could care less if you ever "heard of me before." The bottom line is that I have been invlolved with this board much longer than you, so you are the outisder in that respect.

Thank you Leon for the explanation.

Guys,

Let's keep it civil. Now if I try to hijack this thread by actually discussing prewar vintage cards, would Leon jump all over me.

Peter

No Peter, Leon wouldn't jump all over you, but I would... No talk of vintage cards in this thread... this is a thread about hijacking threads that are about vintage cards... "no soup for you".... Barry, which episode(s)... hahahaha

Then you should know better--you got on the board and completely misrepresented what I was saying because you wanted to be seen as sucking up to Brian Drent. Lets tell it like it is. Then I politely said you were wrong and tghen you launched into full attack mode.

Fred, that could be the next contest Leon runs.

Can someone please post a You Tube presentation of the theme from "The Young and the Restless" or "As the World Turns"? I need to listen to it as I read the posts... please set it up so it's in continuous loop mode.

Jim,

If you are going to continually come on here with all of your serious, self-important grand standing, then you are going to get attacked. Back to my original post at the top of this thread - take a hint, read between the lines. The overwhelming majority on this board are not interested in your personal agenda regarding the preservation of the value of your PSA 8 slabs or your desire to be considered among the elite collectors in the hobby. Your agenda is a much better fit for the PSA Set Registry Board. It is my understanding that you have been allowed back on there after being banned some time ago. Take advantage of that opportunity and leave us in peace.

I won't have a day job for long if I keep getting mezmerized by whack threads like this one. But how can you not? It's too much of a riot to miss.

OK. Now I've probably lost track of the Colt/Jim feud (Colt has a nickname? then why doesn't anyone know it or use it?) and the discussion of which collectors comprise which body parts. I still have dibs on being the left elbow of the hobby.

J

I kind of like "One Tin Soldier"...somehow weaves its way through this thing.

Bruce - raison d'etre? Gee whiz what does it all mean Mr. Wizard?

I am at peace. I have had a say. I must rest now.

joann-

you probably missed that some of the guys are trying to organize an official "pissing contest", complete with video documentation that will be posted on You Tube...they were just trying to agree upon which brand of beer would be the official source of hydration.

i think that should catch you up a bit...

is that true? - for what?
PSA wrote a feature article on someone who was banned on their own message boards?

The world of sports memorabilia collecting is a strange place...

Edited to add: and I would rather not comment on the "day job" topic

Colt,

You want to continue to attack me I will continue to respond.

First, take a hint, read between the lines Mr. Dealer Apologist, the majority of collectors are very concerned over the card restoration/alteration issues.

Second, I never mention my own collection on here and you know it so scratch that.

Third, You are the only one attacking me here--I think you should leave--did you miss how many people have said that they agree with my agenda,

Take a hint Colt and take a hike. You have absolutely zero to add except being THE Dealer Apologist.

I commented on your conduct and posts you and others have made, which I find objectionable. You must be confusing me with Leon, Colt and many others here. If you cannot take the heat, then quit whining. To quote Jim Rome: "Have a take and don't suck or you will get run".

BTW, after fewer than 30 responses, the thread on where the vintage cards have gone is entirely about the market. The pissing match over the propriety of that thread is 8x longer than that thread and growing by the minute.

If I didn't say something we would still be talking about the Kinks and all the good subsequent comments would never be heard.

Barry- I noticed that on the Yardbirds song.
Here's the song voted greatest rock song ever:

those were low blows . If we can manage to keep the profanity and flipping of the bird out we can continue...I really won't/can't let that stuff go....we do have some youngsters on the board. If anyone sees an edit by me, anywhere in this thread, it will be due to profanity....or bird flipping...I know Colt a little bit and have met Jim C...neither are bad guys...and I am sure even if, and when, they meet it will be ok.... We are all passionate about our hobby....

Scott,I wish you guys got the electricity in town up and running sooner because i ended up going out for 3 hours and missing a couple hundred responses. Anyway,Kevin is alot further from me than you are so i dont even bother asking him, besides he has a secretary so a big shot like that would want to eat somewhere fancy

I wouldnt worry about getting a dentist in Tuckerton unless he was already retired and just wanted to show off what a full set looks like

I work in a restaurant so if anyone actually agreed to go to lunch for some card talk(which was my original topic of this thread) then we wouldve went to my work. That way i could pretend to be a big spender but really its free

and just so people know,i am talking vintage cards today, just not on the board.I like to keep stuff like that offline
