Default Ever see a 1923 World Series ticket with a "VOID"??

Have a gentleman bringing in two 1923 World Series ticket stubs(Games 5 & 6) and he claims they have "VOID" on the front. Anyone ever seen with this?

Thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,
A "void stamp" could indicate a ticket salesman sample used the following year to show to various prospective ticket accounts.

I have not seen a 1923 ticket with stamping like this, but have seen other tickets stamped in this manner, FWIW.

Salesman sample tickets typically do not carry much value to the collector from what I've seen through the years. I have collected baseball tickets for 44 years...

Default Tickets

Never seen those before but the back should not have "compliments of". Also looks like the tickets don't have a perforation like the original 1923 World Series tickets do... Still very neat
