Default Another questionable Mantle

Sorry about the frequent questions but I'm really trying to add a ball like this in my collection. Can anyone tell me their opinion on whether they think this is fake or real.

Given that these are live ebay auctions, the problem is going to be when you post something that members think is real - you will never get it for a good price; in fact, you might pay more than normal because respected members here have given it the thumbs up.

Wow, that's a toughie...

At first glance, the Ted Williams has the first two characteristics we all look for to help spot fakes and that's the oped "d" and open "a".

Then you look at the Mantle and it's spot on, IMHO.

The others look good too. I would hate to have the Perceived Fake Ted on the sweetspot, but otherwise a nice ball.

I have know idea why someone whould go out and spend money on a ball where the ss signiture is so bad. I have to agree the other signitures look great.

I just reviewed an item where someone spent private singing big bucks adding other astronauts to an item that started with a fake Neil Armstrong. I see it all the time and it always turns my stomach.

Honestly the Mantle looks fine to me, what worries me is that the Williams looks absolutely fake so either the Mantle is authentic and someone else put the Williams on (and the other signatures which I have no opinion on) or the Mantle is a great fake. Even if it were real, I still don't like it because of the rest of the ball.

Mike, that is what Zip and I said. Would not buy the ball because the Williams is so bad.
