Default Rarity

Let's see some rare cards! Not talking BS condition rarity (no offense) but actual true rarity. Doesn’t necessarily have to be one of a kind, but let’s see some things that you don’t see on ebay everyday.

Default what a lob!!

If I didn't show my cards so often I would have a field day. It's sort of like saying "show me your T206's" to most of the board.....or "show me some high grade E93's" and have Scott M and Jim B in the conversation......It's a ringer....

Edited to get this one out of the way, since it's arguably one of the rarest cards in the hobby, if not the rarest. .

Not sure what constitutes "rarity". There's 4 T210 Stengels in the SGC pop reports and at least a few raw ones floating around; if anybody has access to PSA pop reports and could tell me how many they have enslabulated I'd be obliged. Suffice to say these don't pop up on eBay too often.

Edited to add: This has the makings of a helluva thread. Looking forward to it.

I wouldn't call this rare, but Oscar just doesn't get enough love.

There is supposed to only one of these printed... I know you wanted older stuff...

and while there are a few of these out there somewhere, I don't ever see anyone else here ever posting one. Anyone else have a T200 Premium? Anyone want one?

David,

PSA shows 5 slabbed in total. One PSA 1. Two PSA 3's. One PSA 4. And one PSA 6.

Frank: Ask and ye shall receive.
Jim VB: Thanks muchly. Four SGC, five PSA and FW's avatar (we know that isn't slabbed) makes at least ten. Not ultra-rare but rare enough.

True rarity is overrated.

I would much rather have condition rarity...

Josh - that's a heckuva card but am I missing something as to the rarity? I'd guess that there are at least 50 of those around. Nonetheless, a beauty! Your Gimbel's Ruth RC is many-fold rarer, no?

Don't know how rare it is, not a card, a calendar cover?

I believe there is only 1 other known. The other one is also in an SGC 30 holder. I have seen a picture of it and I believe it to be trimmed.

I just picked this one up from Rhys. Very excited about it. I've seen some Tigers examples but none of the Cuban players. I believe the red variations are tougher than the blue. In any event, this is a nice example of Cuban HOFer Emilio Palomino.

Red border Colgan Unglaub Lincoln - anyone ever seen another?

Just barely postwar, but rare nonetheless - never seen any others besides my two.

A few tough ones. The Averill is one of the "holy grails" to those that collect Exhibit cards, mine isn't super nice but it will do.

Matt,

In my mind, if there are only 50 of something in existence, its rare. Certainly not unique, but rare none the less. Perhaps that is not what the OP had in mind and seeing that I was the first to post (Leon hadnt actually posted a scan at the time), I had little to go by other than "let’s see some things that you don’t see on ebay everyday".

As for the Ruth, its a Weil back and I agree much rarer. However, since Ive got it listed on the BST, I thought it best not to post it here and risk someone thinking I was only posting it to further advertise.
Definitely don't see one listed on eBay everyday! Thought maybe I was missing a back variation or something. Great cards you've been showing lately.
