What a fun thread! I recently picked up this folio of Fatima ads. I'd say circa 1920. Eight ads mounted onto pretty stiff cardboard and bound. Also a pretty large Sovereign ad.

Jon - great, K-bats piece! Congrats! Tony - great Pirate fan. What an oddball piece!

Excited to pick this up. After a lot of searching, I believe this may be the correct packaging for "Punch" cigarettes. The pack below has a full 1912 tax stamp, so also makes it period.

Can you share a ballpark price on that Topps gum grouping? I've resisted selling mine for the past 20 years although I managed to sell enough pieces out of the box to pay for the whole thing :-) Neat piece....

Lots of great stuff there. I love that the Topps gum is marked 1 cent each, or 5 for 5 cents. Gotta love a discount for buying in bulk.

Default Newest Acquisition

The size is approx. 13" x 17" and while missing the tri-fold piece on the back and someone put a hole in the center to hang the ad is otherwise in great shape.

I am not sure what the market price for this item would be? Have not seen any that were placed up for sale. Could be $500 but not certain. What do you think?

You're lucky I was in the casino longer than anticipated and slept the El Principe piece..... :-) Nice one.....
and speaking of silly - I won the HLC carton in Heritage - for some reason I was moving a bit fast - and thought it was TWO cases - still happy to have it even if I paid too much.

No worries, I was glad to win this for what I did. The Red Man posters were beautiful. I was initially going after the Home Run and Bambino tins but could not bring myself to go that high.

Here are a couple of more Croft & Allen related items that I've managed to pick up in the last year or so.

Was happy to add the jar with the wire lid to my other Croft & Allen jars as I hadn't seen one previously.

Hard to top Kevin's collection, but this is the only copy of this style of "Home Run Cigars" I've ever seen (please excuse the poor scan). Was happy to win it at auction a few years back.

One other recent (and interesting) pick-up. Below is a shipping crate from Drum granulated tobacco. As many are probably aware, Drum tobacco was a companion piece to Drum cigarettes (which contained T206 and T205 backed cards), both being made by the American Tobacco Company. The great thing about this shipping crate is that many years ago, someone made the box into a cabinet. I thought it was too cool to pass up. Note that the drawers are also from Drum tobacco crates.

Below for reference (they are not mine) is Leon's old counter top display, and a Drum tobacco pouch.

That is a great "re-purposing" Drum cabinet piece, Jon. The only question is, will you use it as intended?

Well, this might be one of my favorite purchases ever. I love the Polar Bear countertop displays, but this is the first time I've ever seen an original shipping crate. Crazy that this stuff survives for 100+ years! Also, note the size... it's huge.

Very large El Principe De Gales original advertising display in original frame.

Nearly 3 feet by 3-1/2 feet in size.

Your tobacciana collection is great, Tony. I love EPDG stuff and yours is off the freaking charts. Congrats.

This is the bookend piece to Scott's earlier post. The contrast is interesting--Scott's is in pristine condition. This one, as seen, is well loved and handled--with various attachments (Ramly labels) and printing throughout. As seen in the bottom right, no love given to future HOFer Harry Hooper, with his name misspelled as Hopper. In both cases, the clarity of the photo is incredible, not only with the team but the spectators as well.
