Default Extraordinary Auction- True Masterpieces

Posted By: Bruce Dorskind

Yesterday we received the Goodwin September 18th auction.

Bill's auction contains more exceptionally rare, ultra high grade
early cards than we recall seeing anywhere in the past 5 years.

We are sure that many records will be broken and that Bill will
be so successful with this auction, hr could buy eight gold medals
of his own with all the bread he will earn.

This is a must see auction for those interested in Brunners Bread,
T209s. Rochester Baking, Fleischmann's Bakery etc.

Good luck to all- time to drain the bank accounts

I just went on his site but all that was there was his August auction. Is there a way to preview the September one?

I have a 1967 Carew PSA 9 in there that looks a little out of place with the huge amount of prewar items in this auction. I hope a couple of the prewar buyers will take a look at it. It is an old 9, worthy of a bump, and by far the finest Carew I have ever seen.
Do you all think it has a chance of doing well with all the prewar buyers gathering all the rarities?
Thanks,
Bob

Goodwin heavily advertises their auctions on PSA's web site, which is where Post War PSA collectors are to be found.

For what it's worth there are a few snapshots of some of the Goodwin September auction items on the "Chicago National" page of my Image Event photo site (#'s 53-56). (You could shave with that PSA8 Brunners Cobb). There's also a photo of Bill Goodwin (#31) for those who want to put a face to things. Both the '52 Topps auction catalog (a veritable encyclopedia of the set) and the Sept 18 catalog (likewise for D304s) were there for the taking in Chicago, and both are keepers. Bruce is right on the mark: exceptional, high grade cards, ultra even, and Fat City for BG.

Um. Wow. Vintage cards, scantily-clad Polynesian maidens, uku-zillion penguins, authentic Dutch people and more at . .

I got the catalogue on Friday. There is a lot of very nice items in this auction. I have my eye on Lot #36, that has got to be one of the nicest cards I have seen in a long time!

The images are large enough in the catalog that I can cut them out & paste them on cardboard and then it will be just like I own the card

Bill Goodwin is one of, if not the nicest guys in charge of an auction house that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. A true mensch.
