Default Cool (at least to me) Find

Some of you know that I collect cards of my great-grandfather, Frank "Bullet" Miller. I found this in my usual eBay searches today; it is a Christmas card that my great-grandmother sent which included a $2 check to renew his membership in the Old Time Ball Player Association. The best part is that the great-grandson born on December 8 that is mentioned in the last paragraph was me.

Does anyone know who the Mr. Krueger that the card was sent to would be? I have found these two possibilities: Joe Krueger or Ernie Krueger

Dude, 11 pounds! You were a HUGE baby, make sure you get your Mom something extra nice on Mothers Day for putting her through all that!

That is one of the best finds I have ever read about on this forum. To find a relative's postcard and then to have a reference to your own birth is incredible. Congratulations!

To the OP,

At 11 lb. 4 oz., I completely understand your User ID.

Fantastic find by the way.

"Whaler" was actually a reference to a boat I had at the time I registered, but if the shoe fits I guess...

Thanks all for the kind comments.

That is simply an incredible find! You must have had a very "weird & eerie" feeling come over you when you saw it & actually read the contents of the letter! I know I certainly would have!

You seriously found that on Ebay?!?! How cool is that.

I've written a couple of books and they've show up on ebay a good bit, but I could never imagine finding something personal like that.

Your story must have freaked out the seller.

The seller did think it was pretty cool. She said she listed it months ago; I have no idea why it took me so long to notice it. It arrived yesterday and I could not be happier.
