Default Jimmy Smith 1919-20 Reds

Posted By: Doug Haeussner

I am looking for a rare 1919-20 Jimmy Smith card from the PC799 set.

This card is of particular interest to me. Jimmy was my nephew's great grandfather and I would like to give him this card for Christmas.

Please let me know if you have this card in your collection and are willing to sell it.

Thanks,

Doug

Well, just how close are you to your nephew?

I think he is on these cards...

E135 Collins McCarthy
E220 National Caramel
M101/4
M101/5
T222 Fatima

That Fatima card would be quite expensive, it is has a 15 on it, and when the number gets that high the cards are scarce.

But the others may well be more affordable than that PC.

Frank.

I don't see one now, but you could save and request emails on an eBay search " smith (caramel,collins,e220,sporting,m101*) "

At the moment that search yields an E126 Smith, but you could figure out if the card is your Smith or not.

I have to ask. Will you be giving your nephew any memorabilia from his grandfather? I am not being a wise guy. I am just checking the family tree and wondering if you are from Pittsburgh.

Thank you, Rhett... Doug is going to need a good pile of cash to get that post card.
