I just picked this up. Is this great, or what? I know it's not a card, but still.

Do any of you know what kind of "World's Championship" game the Negro League teams played in July? Did they just refer to any big game as a World's Championship?

Forgot I had bid on this lot in the Hunts auction - just found out today that I won it when I received the invoice:

I picked up these at Hunts as well. Pretty brutal meccas, but they are my favorite tobacco issue overall.

I can't get over the resemblance of Adm. Schlei on the card Steve posted to 'ole Honus himself. Does anybody else see it or is it just me?

I love cards like this - makes me wonder what the manufacturers were thinking. Is this the only picture they could get of Eddie Collins - him standing in the dirt looking like a cheap mortician? Anyhow, I think Eddie looks wonderful - love the hat!

Both from board members...

the E107 would fit nicely with some of the other recent topics on your best worst card, scarcity, etc. (It is my first E107, and likely my last as better condition ones are just too darned pricey for me right now)

as it's nowhere close to what I usually buy, but I still think it's cool. Maybe I'm a HOF collector now?

I only paid $80 for this at an antique store in Shrewsbury PA. TOTAL SCORE! I know this is a vintage card board but I couldn't resist.

PaulPaulPaul,
Great ticket! Very cool!

David McD,
I would eat catfood for a month for an autographed '34 Gerhig. Nice pick-up.
