Default Warning on 1933 Goudey Lot (eBay)

It is my opinion that these are not real. The sheen is wrong, the borders are too white and look like they've been soaked in tea to artificially age them. Also, the place where "reprint" would have been written has been erased on all of the cards on the reverse.

Yikes, seller has a Ruth, too:

Buyer beware...

Nice catch. You can't really tell from the first couple photos, but some of those later ones make it pretty obvious.

you can see on the back photos where the word reprint has been scratched off too.

Default They must be real!!!

Because it says says "guaranteed authentic" in the title line.

The fact that the "paper loss" on the back occurs in the same place is mere coincidence.

Good heads up! And the item has been taken down.

Based on feedback and the items he's sold / selling, this might be a case of where the seller got taken when he acquired the cards. I would like to think that someone informed the seller and he did the right thing.

It's always good to think a seller did the right thing. I wonder what the percentage is of that vs them taking something down because the jig is up? Those were yucky looking cards.

The new Net54 grading system. Yucky = 1 or possibly 2? Now need terms for all of the other grades. This should be interesting.
