Default 1927 ML Diecuts - Please help with info.

Just picked up a group of 15 NY Yankees Diecut cards. I believe that they come from a game. There is a Gehrig but no Ruth. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? The diecut sections are generic and at the bottom of the figure there is a small box with what appears to be a piece of paper glued onto it. Underneath the little square piece is a number (one fell off).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Lou

Thanks for the link. Very helpful. Interesting how little is out there on these and how seemingly few there are. Looks like SGC grades them. My Gehrig is on what appears to be a pitcher figure - though maybe it's a fielder. that just looks like he is pitching.

Your grouping covers more than one year, as there were only 14 players issued for each team per year. There are 14 different poses, so you have at least one duplicate pose. Also, since you have no Ruth then the most you can have from one specific Yankee team is 13. Scans would be appreciated.

Here is what a Gehrig with the correct pose looks like--all first basemen share this same pose, obviously with uniform color differences. The label and its typeface/font can vary from year to year. From my notes this appears to be the 1927 version.
