Default Is this card real?

I bought this card around two years ago at an auction that included a couple other well known ungraded cards, but a couple of other expensive psa graded cards. I have done some research and doubt the authenticity of this card, but was wondering whether it's a definite fake or worth getting looked at. Thanks

Thanks for replying. Dean from Dean's Cards said most fakes were printed on dotmatrix printer, is that how you could tell?

My first thought was the 50/50 centering. They just don't come that way....

Would you say the chances that it is fake is above 95 percent? Would it be worth having someone at a card shop take a look?

After close to 20 yrs of looking at a 100'ish of them, I would say the chances are about 99.99% it is fake. I really can't see it being real. There is that 1 in a thousand chance (on that card) that I could be wrong. With a more clear scan I could be 100% I think.....Dean's is correct that most fakes are dot matrix. I imagine that with a loop you can see dots in the white borders of that card. And that proves it .....Save your money and time....

btw, the corners all look artificially rounded too, but who's counting?

Leon,

Make him feel better. You could send him a shirt with his card on it.

Default Fake

I bought about 8 of these in 2012 in Greenfield, MA. I sent them in for grading but they were fake. I returned them and did get a refund. Someone said black printing on the back was a giveaway for a fake. Seems like a lot of fakes from this set are out there. Scott.

First thing I thought of was the other most recent drill on this type card..

And for the OP here is what one should look like with a nice crisp image..

You would think that he would bother to at least put it in a different holder.

Has this become an annual event?

That wasn't a waste Leon. I read every post, and it was high comedic drama. You were very tolerant of his lunacy.
