Default ebay store/BIN vs. ebay auction

Posted By: steve

Do you folks think regular ebay auctions bring higher prices for nice stuff - or do you think a better price can be had setting your own Buy It Now ?

This just raised my brow:

T202 Cobb/Jennings/Cobb sliding 3rd, PSA 5 - just closed for $2,925. via regular ebay auction format. I have had my same T202 Cobb in same PSA 5 in my ebay store for $2,195. with no bites, removed it recently. Huge price difference with auction format grabbing additional $730.

Steve.

Default ebay store/BIN vs. ebay auction

There appears to big some big spenders for T202 Cobb's right now recently a SGC 30 T202 Cobb went for over $1000. These seem to be just 2 bidders going hard at it.

Why not run it a BIN of $2500? There was a PSA 4 BINed at $1700 recently.

Lee

Steve, that is a bizarre closing price for that card. I picked one up -- same grade -- just six months ago for under $1500.
