Default ID an electronic baseball game from the Age of Pong

Hi, not sure where else to put this post but here, so here it is...
Somebody on our own games forum stumped us with this inquiry, so any help would be greatly appreciated --
he writes: "Racking my brain trying to remember the name of this old baseball game that they used to have
in pizza joints (and other places) in the 70s/80s. It was mounted high on the wall for everyone to see
and they gave you a controller that was a heavy little box with maybe 1 or 2 buttons on it.
It wasn’t a video game... it was electronic. The 'screen' was pretty large.
The pizza places that had this game... in SoCal was Shakey’s Pizza and Straw Hat Pizza."

We remember, back in our bar-hopping college-boy days, that hanging over certain bars were big TV screens
on which you could play that cutting-edge game Pong. But we never saw a baseball game with that kind of
gameplay. Anyone here remember seeing or playing such a thing?
