Default Honus Wagner House on eBay - OT?

Posted By: Sean

Maybe a bit off topic, but was built pre-war and housed Honus Wagner...I can just see him cooking a turkey at the stove with the Mrs, or may a secret stash of T206's in the attic?

I thought the T206 proof stip with Wagner card came from Wagner's house.

They need to send it off and get it graded... that seems to be the mind(less)set.

Topps could buy it and make 1 billion relic cards. Wagner stove pipe piece card #125/250.

In Seattle where I live there was a fight over ownership of a house Jimmi Hendrix lived in as a kid. It was for a time a rat infested crack house with boarded up windows, not as quaint as Wagner's abode.

David,

Now you've done it. You let the "house" out of the bag and now it's going to be pulled apart, piece by piece and sold off. The sum of the parts is worth more than the whole. Perhaps someone could start a rumor that Hans hid 4 of his T206 cards somewhere in the house and they remain there to this day... waiting for someone to find them.

I was serious about the proof stip. I beleive it was discovered in his home after he died.

The strip with the Wagner with the crease in it was obtained from the Wagner family's attic. Wayne Varner got it.
