Default Babe Ruth Rookie - Happy Ending!

Posted By: Andy Baran

For all of those who have followed my saga, the story has a happy ending. I got my refund from PSA, and yesterday I purchased a PSA 4 1915 M101-5 Ruth, with a Famous and Barr back. This guarantees that the card is from 1915, and it is definitely authentic. And, I paid significantly less than a PSA 4 Blank Back just sold for on Ebay.

Andy -- I am so happy to hear of your success! Is there writing on the back of the card, or some stamp of sorts? Am curious about the MK qualifer.

It looks like there may have been some erased pencil marks, nothing major.

I guess I just got to the show after you left. Both Terry Knouse and Kevin Struss mentioned that they had seen you. Glad to see you got the Ruth. I picked up a few Old Judge that I liked. How about that stuff at Terry's table? Those Lone Jacks were as nice as I have ever seen. When you combine that with a few Four Base Hits, some Kalamazoo Bats and lots of other super rare stuff it was like visiting a vintage card museum. Leon, if you are reading this, you better jump on one of those Lone Jacks.

Hey Jay,
I saw the 2 at the Nationals. I understand the same 2 were at the 2000 Nationals. Not that you can find anymore of them but I think they are just a little high. (That and I don't have an extra 6k-7k laying around)...He has told me that he knows of 3 people that have them on their want lists...if he knows of 3 people and he has 2 cards ???...sounds like he had a lot of the same stuff that he had when I saw him...absolutely amazing cards....I was almost drooling...........glad to hear it was good for you......best regards..
