me to her once-a-year Bsaeball Extravaganza in her luxury suite at the Coleseum this afternoon--and the As won with their #5 pitcher going all the way. She brought a lot of her (almost complete) T206 set for me to look at, and wanted me to post the back of her pink Chase.

If you can't read the purple type, it says "GOOD FOR ONE DRINK":

We both thought it was funny, and were both surprised that the card had nt seen more wear! (it's a PSA 4 (MK))

That is really cool, Julie! Wonder how it came about and if what ever establishment (saloon) decided to use it for a promotion if they just used T206's. Are they more cards like this? The speculation is endless. Fascinating. Thank you so much for sharing. Yes the "MK" is a qualifier. Qualified as a neat piece of history.

I was hoping to see others thoughts on Julie's post. I really think this is interesting. Maybe this post just got buried. Thoughts?

actually, i don't think this was an uncommon practice for the era....though i've never seen a stamped back with the promotion. example...in the mid '30's the national chicle football cards were used for addmission to the movies. most were cancelled with a hole punch.
similar.
