Thanks Ed. And Val, it makes sense that a T214 Merkle was produced. I hope that one turns up someday.

Bumping this thread after recently receiving the Sovereign 150 from grading at SGC.

Frank Smith - F. Smith on front is the 3rd of the 28 subjects that I have completed the back run for in the Chicago Americans T206 subset. Sorry again for the large scans!

Default McGraw T206 back run complete

Thirteen T206 backs were printed on each of the Exclusive 12 subjects in the 460-only series. Illustrated here is the complete run of the McGraw card.
This UZIT card is extremely rare (only one known). The red HINDU and OLD MILL cards are quite tough. American Beauty 460, CYCLE 460, and EPDG
are moderately tough. The LENOX or PIEDMONT 460 (Factory #42) cards were not printed in this group.

A few of my back runs...Dahlen Boston is complete and the Wajo master is reasonably far along. Young portrait, Cobb bat off, and Baker are relatively young projects.

Hi Jay

Some great stuff there, guy.

Here's a start on my favorite T206 Cobb....My AB 460 run and an OLD MILL. Plus, the 3 cards from my 3 sets:
PIEDMONT, SOVEREIGN, SWEET CAPORAL (Factory #30).

Needless to say, I have a long way to go on this one. But, I do enjoy the thrill of the "hunt".

Default Russ Ford run......

Exactly 40 years before Whitey Ford, there was Russ Ford for the Yankees (Highlanders). I'll include a bit of Trivia here.....I think Russ Ford
holds the record for the most games Won in his 1st and 2nd year....48 games (26 + 22, respectively). I'm sure some one here will challenge
this.
Russ Ford is another Exclusive 12 guy in the 460-only series. Shown here are 12 of the possible thirteen T206 backs in this group. Of course,
I still need UZIT to complete this 13-card run.

Joe McGinnity won 28 in each of his first 2 years. 56 total over his first 2 years.

Hey Jay

I appreciate your quick response, and you are correct....since I failed to qualify that Ford's record of 48 games applies strictly to the 20th Century

Been a while since I posted this, would love to see some updates on previous runs.

Default update

I had a T215-1 Crandall and started a back run. An unknown UZIT was found and brought here and it ended up with Hall. I could have bid on it the other night, as it was relatively low compared to UZIT's, but I let it go. T206 back runs can be kind of pricey. I have a few T205 runs going.

Awesome Jay, massive accomplishment!

With the pick up of a tinker bat off AB 460, I have now completed the entire t206 tinker bat off back run. I don’t know how to post them all, but here is a link to the back run

Hey ole "Chase-mate", you are ahead me by 4 cards. It's been a while since I have acquired any new cards to add to this run.

One of my favorite ballplayers from the New York Highlanders era is Hal Chase. I started this run in 1981 by acquiring this OLD MILL card. This run is nearly complete.
I do have a SWEET CAPORAL 350 Factory #25; however, I cannot find it. And, as of today, no Blue Chase with a DRUM back is known. Perhaps, it's a No-Print.
The Chase with the BROAD LEAF 350 back is the most difficult card to find. Followed by the LENOX card, and the red HINDU card.

Continuing the blue Chase run since Net54 limits the number of scans per post to 18.

Default Another run complete

I'm dusting off this thread to show off the 4th completed player back run in my T206 White Sox team set - the Doc White portrait pose. It's complete after I finally (FINALLY!!) received the Brown Hindu and Old Mill cards in my sub from mid-May.

Default Poland Back Run

All the combinations looks great!

Poland has 7 known backs (if you count Sweet Caporal Fact. 25 & 30) so from a collector standpoint it's a double edged sword. Would be nice if he had more, but makes for a relatively simple back run completion, aside from the Broad Leaf.
