Default Mathewson

I just won this in an eBay auction as part of a lot and while I anxiously await its arrival I am curious if anyone out there knows exactly what it is. I think it is from the 1910-1918 Base Ball Stars Notebook cover series but I cannot find any examples on line for Christy Mathewson. He does show up on this checklist:

Thanks for the help...

I am by no means an authority on these, but the thing that strikes me as odd about yours is the size. Below is my Lajoie, which is more square than rectangular. I've also sold another player (can't remember who; it might have been Mordecai Brown), and I know it was the same size and shape as the Lajoie.

I wonder if the one from the original post is glued to something? I see white on both left and right edges which suggest that the image ends there but perhaps it was cut down and glued to a white board at some point in its past.

These are notebook covers from 1910. Here is an example recently sold on eBay (OK to post, we work with David): http://www.ebay.com/itm/C-1910-NOTEB...p2047675.l2557

It is in an authentic holder by SGC...this may help guide you.

Nice item!!
