Default M101-1 Sporting news supplement question

I dont want to offend anyone with this topic beacuse I know there were a couple of these on the the buy/sell/trade forum, but what are the ranges in price for these cards (M101-1)? So many times you look in the Standard Price guide and you see them for "X", but in the real world you NEVER see them for that price. The reason I ask is, I have a Lajoie, but I have no way to gauge what I should ask for in trade, or price. I dont need to get a steal or the best end of the deal completely, but I also don't want to get totally taken either. The card grades a about a 1-2, but has very nice eye appeal. I will try to post a pitcure soon.....I am not the greatest computer person. Again, I am not trying to offend anyone that has, or had, one of these cards, but with the prices I have seen, I could use the money for other areas of my collection.
Thanks again
Bob

Hi Bob, while I only own one M101-1 and don't have much in the way of example closing prices, my memory says I see commons go for $100+ with decent eye appeal and common HOFers go for $500+. Prices double as you start getting higher grade technical condition to go along with the eye appeal. A star HOFer like Lajoie might be slightly higher than a common HOFer.

Just my opinion on prices, I'm sure others who are more familiar with the set could chime in.

Good luck!
Rob
