Default For sale: Unused ticket 1954 World Series, Game 3

Posted By: Rob D.

Unused ticket measures about 2 1/4 by 7 1/4 inches and was to Game 3 of the 1954 World Series in Cleveland. (If I'm not mistaken, I think the Indians swept the Giants in this one, thanks in part to that great catch by Vic Wertz?) Creasing apparent, and there are two staple holes on each end of the ticket. But it's fully intact and not all that easy to come by. $110 delivered.

Check or money order only. To make up for the no-PayPal delay, if I recognize you from the board, I'll ship the day after we reach a deal and won't wait for your payment to arrive.

Thanks,

Rob

Actually the Giants swept the Series and the catch was by Mays off a deep drive by Wertz. If you had an unused Polo Grounds ticket, I'd be interested.

Ron,

Rob is a die-hard Indian fan. He'll remember that Series the way he wants.

(I'm pretty sure his tongue was firmly planted in his cheek for that post, but you never know. Revisionist history is a soothing medication for some.)

No problem at all. I should have been more obvious. In my defense, I've been so excited about Bush's third term, I'm often not thinking straight.
