Default Anyone care about E75/E76?

Not sure why I like these, as they are pretty ugly and some of the drawings don't really look like the fighter pictured even. I've been following them for about 15 years, and found the E76's to be significantly tougher, though not truly rare. Seems the last year or so, more E76's have been put on eBay at pretty low prices. Very few who put the cards up for sale know the difference between E75/E76.

I've always thought the checklist indicated that E75 was issued after the E76 version of the set. Anyone have the Attell/Ketchell errors? I've only seen 1 of each. There is also an E76 McGovern with Jimmy Britt's name out there, but I'm not aware of any other oddities.

Here's the McGovern-Britt:

I owned this card at one point.

I assume that since the error resulted from a misalignment of the blue ink there would be an entire sheet of them.

Perfect timing, picked up a Ketchell with Attell name error.

I have seen 2 copies of each of the Ketchell/Attell E75 error cards, though I am sure a couple more are known in the hobby but not to me.

The E76 McGovern is even cooler.

You should throw Robertson's Candy(V153) in the e75/76 group as well... And they are really tough!

The Robertsons are so tough, I don't think I've even seen all 20 cards yet. Does anyone know if the Robertson Candy Co. was a subsidiary of American Caramel? I've never been sure if these are better catalogued as a back variation of the same set as E76 or a truly different issue with the same images from, presumably, the same printer.

Default E75 John L. Sullivan print error

Happy to have picked this card up! It’s missing the background color and shading/color on Sullivan. It’s in a PSA-Authentic holder trimmed. Any thoughts?

Neat card, don't recall seeing another one. Do you have a scan of the back?

I picked up this E75 for my Sullivan collection. Then went crazy later and got the E76 set which included the Sullivan

I saw this on eBay when it was posted and almost pulled the trigger for a few days until it disappeared. Cool pickup, not sure what to make of it as I've never seen another like it. It doesn't appear that it is missing a full ink color, looks handcut. Must be some sort of pre-production test or scrapped sheet.

David,

Great looking E75 Sullivan and E76 set! Really neat cards raw or graded. They look great in PSA and SGC holders.

I’m excited about the E75 Sullivan print error! The back is clean with text as any regular E75 back. A definite rarity!

I had the Sullivan in hand; definitely handcut from a sheet. My guess is scrap that went out of the factory with an employee.

Let's put the current scandal out of our minds and remember it's about the cards. Here's the E76 set. Enjoy.

Very cool to have the whole issue like this! I still need a low grade Choynski to complete my set.
