Default T206 Background Color Distribution

Have any of you with a complete or near complete T206 set ever organized / grouped them by majority background color?

I've been meaning to create a piece of software to do this as for one, it would likely look neat, and for two I am interested in the breakdown.

Either green (my guess), blue, or red will be the overall dominant background color numbers-wise.

For the odd colors, is Dougherty the only purple, and Smith + Chase the only pinks?

Ah, Downs and O'Neil should have been obvious as they're purely pink backgrounds too. Tough to remember out of 500+ cards! This set never ceases to fascinate me.

To my blinding eyes, Dougherty looks more lavender. I would consider Clark and Willis (Pittsburg) to be more purple.
Oberlin and Sheckard are two more pinks.

Blue wins, with red a close second...

And the thumbnail makes it pretty obvious as well...

One card, two card, red card, blue card...

Lavender as opposed to purple is certainly a more accurate description, yep.

That is really cool Trae. How did you organize them? For instance, why are there some orange cards on the right border with more orange cards between the yellow and red? And the pink McIntyre at the top instead of lower with the other pink cards? And how did you decide where the blanks would be?

I would buy a poster of that.

Glad you guys dig it! I found this piece of software that groups by color. Unfortunately the ordering is a little tricky, it doesn't allow much control.

I have some ideas like this for the next version of T206.org, whenever that may be. It's in the plans for sometime in 2010, after a couple of other hobby website priorities.

Were the gaps images you're missing or did the software not include some cards? I would love to see the entire set color coordinated.

Very nice Trae. I like it.

Especially since you have Archive represented in the set. Hes the guy wearing the brown Daytona fleece pullover in the red background section right?

Neither. That is the entire set minus the horizontal cards, which I manually removed from the image.

The software created those gaps for some reason. It didn't allow for much customization of the output.
