Default Sending to PSA

I won a lot at the recent Heritage Auction and want to send some of the pre-certified items in (goverment post cards) to get fully authenticated. Is there a preferred shipper that people use (FedEx, UPS)? Any other tips on how to send in an item so that nothing gets damaged? Do people usually insure their shipments to PSA?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure they only accept FedEx (ground and air are the options). Also, ALWAYS insure your cards for the full value and package them carefully, making sure the contents won't get bent or smushed during shipping!.

Just as an FYI, If you read the fine print of the FedEx agreement they will only cover the first $1000 of sports memorabilia & baseball cards, no matter what the declared value may be.

Default Usps

I use US Mail (priority mail) for packages up to about $1500 in value. Above that, Registered Mail is cheaper, but takes a little longer.

USPS express mail is very cheap when you factor in for every $1000 in insurance they only charge about $3.25. add in the fact they're only successful about 50% of the time on their on-time guarantee, i'm shipping 2-day air for free on some of them.
