Thanks! Those matty/devlin cards are tough!. I have over 150 t202s and still need two of them. I didnt think that would go under $300 as there is a sgc20 in sterling that's at $175 with a week left.

+1

I just don't like the surface stains on the Piedmont, find them distracting.

I was surprised to see the final price also.. The only reason I thought to bid was because it looked like it could be had for a reasonable price. I got mine as a loan bidder for an opening bid of I think $295.. And i felt lucky. I love those T202s, the combo of portraits and action shot and all great write ups.. But it seems like prices keep slipping. I'll keep picking them up though. Good luck getting your last few cards!

Have you completed the set? I've been working on it for five years. I started just trying to get a cubs set and by the time I finished that I had over sixty cards including half the cobbs lol. Hope to make it my first ever T set

Well its a Wagner but not a Cracker Jack. I wanna thank a new member Doug, digdugdug, for this beauty I got today. Card was well described and mailed pronto without a hitch. Im only 24 cards into the FC set but its nice to have the biggy sitting in front of me. Now its time to selling some things to pay for it.

I have never collected T210's nor had a strong inkling to...but I saw the Pepe on the BST and had to have it just becuase I love the pose. Plus, "Pepe", how can you not respect the name? Thanks Jason for a great transaction.

Not even CLOSE to a set! I have many of the key cards- Cobbs (still kicking myself over missing the Moriarty "Cobb steals third" that went super low on eBay in December), Mattys, WaJos, and other HOFers, as well as the two player combos that were huge in drawing me to the set originally- Tinker/Evers/Chance and both Speaker/Woods... however I have a looong way to go for a set. I'd love to have the set, but not sure I have the focus (or storage space!) needed to finish. You sound like you're in the stretch run.. more power to ya!!

Been trying to obtain this postcard for years, but the few times it's shown up I've been outbid. Finally got it! It's the Oxford, Nebraska Indians team...ripped off from Green's Nebraska Indians the owners of this team would later buy out Guy Green and bring these uniforms with them.

I don't normally collect stereo views, but this one appears to be very old, and while it has football goal posts in the background, these guys in the foreground appear to be dressed for baseball:

I was very surprised how much that one brought and how little the Speaker brought. that was weird. That's a nice Oldring copy though! Any D381 is a nice pickup in my book.

+1 I put in a snipe for this card because I thought it would go for less then the Stallings... Serves me right for bidding on stuff I know nothing about.

Nice pick-ups Everyone!

I picked this up cheap with no knowledge of what it is or if its real. Anyone ever seen one of these before?

I added the black box to the scan, not on the card.

I like the polar bear card, is it a standard tobacco size card? Whats on the back, and why the black box?

Jantz,

I've seen a few of them before....

Here is my beater example---about the same thickness as a CJ:

Interesting Jantz- I've never seen one of those before. Nice pick up, thanks for showing that. Some kind of advertizing piece-pretty cool.

Sincerely, Clayton

theoverreactor - Thanks, its measurements are roughly 2.75W x 4.75L. Here is a back scan. If you look at the front, the puzzle says "Find Woman", the woman is topless, the black box is so I don't ruin our PG rating.

asoriano - Thank you for posting your example. You're right, the card stock is thick.

Clayton - Thank you, I thought it was interesting too, so I snagged it.

Default Frisch

Frisch looks faceless on all those early strip cards...so sad that we HOF rookie collectors have to deal with these horrible images to complete our "set"!!

Nice pick up though.

Very nice, Dave. The numbered version is much tougher than the unnumbered one, I believe.
