Default Federal League Card Question

I have a question, is this the only card depicting a player in a Federal League uniform in full view (in a photograph).? I know the Zeider from this series shows him in one (obscured) and the Cracker Jacks have Federal League uniforms but those aren't actual photographs (artwork). Let's hear some opinions and see some scans if you have them.

Good question

Only sets showing fed players I know of are all drawings...

ie D303, T213, T216, E106, E145

Then why does the card say "Nationals?"

By '16 the Feds were gone, they picked up a picture from the previous season to use on the card.

Ted, nice card. But.... he's not wearing a Federal League uniform. Same goes for the T213's, it's just the type that designates it.

Of the sets with the Fed League players included, the only set that would show the uniforms is the E145 but those are drawings (probably based on real photos). the M101-4/5 Wilson card may be unique and show the uniform in a real photograph.
Cool, see if anyone can find another, maybe a Fed League player premium, but dont know of any??

Here's a pic of the Zeider card that Tony mentioned in his first post.

Mr. Quinn that is an interesting observation. I'd think that there are other possible cards in the Sporting News set and its offshoots. Do you consider the Fatima T222 cards as "cards"? Some of those may well be in Federal League attire. My recollection is that Ed Reulbach's card has a Brooklyn Federal League caption, and he's in a dark uniform, I don't recall if it has markings or not. I'll dig that one out and get a scan up in a few days.

Frank, I certainly consider the T222's cards. I looked over scans of the M101-4 & 5 sets and Wilson (and Zeider to some extent) is the only card that shows a full on Federal League uniform shot in photograph form. I would love to see the photos used for the Cracker Jacks to see if they are acurate or altered to make them look like F.L. uniforms. I am surprised more members have not chimed in on this subject. maybe they are all at the National!

Default Kauff

I'm away from home and can't post a scan right now, but Benny Kauff is also shown in a Brooklyn Fed Lg uniform on his m101-4&5 cards.

I wasn't sure but after some checking it looks to be. How about Fielder Jones? It looks like that might be a Terriers uniform (can't see the sleeve for the FL patch).
