Default T206 Survey -- Rarities

Posted By: T206Collector

I'll bite on a theme from the Magie thread. I'd be curious to know which members of the Net54 community currently possess the following seven T206 cards:

1. Wagner
2. Plank
3. Cobb with Cobb back
4. Doyle Error
5. Magie Error
6. O'Hara
7. Demmitt

I'll start off the survey:

5. Magie
6. O'Hara
7. Demmitt

Thanks for playing.

Never had:
Wagner
Doyle

Have now:
Demmitt
O'hara

Sold:
Plank
Magie this year
Demmitt
O'Hara

Be well Brian

I would say Demmitt and O'Hara are only slightly more available than Magie, probably 200-300 cards of each.

The closest I've come to owning one of those cards is a losing auction bid on a Demmitt.

im still trying to get through the major HOFers!

As with Rob, the closest ive been to any of those was bidding on a demmitt on ebay.

Well, in my early collecting years I did in fact own a Wagner- bought it in 1986, and held it for a year and a half and doubled my money. I think it might be worth more today. It's very recognizable, as it currently resides in a PSA 1 holder and has a chunk missing from the upper left corner.

I've handled about half a dozen Planks, a couple of Magies, and numerous Demmitts and O'Haras, but never had a Doyle. Some of these of course were consignments, but I owned at least one of each of these cards during my salad days.

Own a Magie (well, 3/4 a Magie but it is authentic).
Own an O'Hara too but it is beat horribly as well.

Never owned any of the others.

I’m down for 2 for now, moving on to Magie this year. I’ve passed on few looking for the right one. Then Plank as for Wagner…not holding my breath.

Always found O’Hara the tougher of the 2, if you watch Demmit comes up almost twice as much. But both cards come in cycles O’Hara’s one year then lots of Demmit’s etc, at least in my collecting experience. As for the other thread, while I wouldn’t compare Demmitt & O’Hara to Magie and the others. I think collectors tend to short change these two cards a bit, both are supper tough to find, let alone in good condition.

My order for these has always been something like this after 20+ years collecting T206’s for what its worth.

Doyle
Wagner
Magie
Plank
O’Hara
Demmitt

John- that O'Hara is one of the best I have ever seen, but I disagree that they come in Cycles...they come in Polar Bears (a little tobacco card humor).

Here's the last ones I have....I sold my better ones....I am "downgrading".
